London - Pop star Gary Glitter (55) yesterday refused to give evidence in his own defence at the trial in Bristol Crown Court into allegations he subjected a besotted, underage teenage fan to a series of sexual assaults.
A jury at Bristol Crown Court was told by his barrister that the singer would not be taking to the witness box and no evidence would be presented in his defence.
