Glasgow Warriors have claimed that an unnamed Munster player committed an act of foul play against their Fijian scrumhalf Niko Matawalu during Friday night's RaboDirecct Pro12 game at Scotstoun.

The Scottish side released a brief statement on Saturday night, confirming that they have written to to the citing commissioner about the incident

Matawalu was a second-half replacement during the game, coming on for Chris Cusiter after 55 minutes of a game Munster won 13-6.

“We believe a dangerous act of foul play was committed by a Munster player against Niko Matawalu during last night’s game at Scotstoun,” a Glasgow Warriors spokesperson said.
