Two Chinese men arrested last night after an incident in which two gardaí were stabbed at a house in Raheny in north Dublin have been charged with theft.

They are being held at Raheny Garda Station overnight and are expected to appear in court in Dublin tomorrow morning.

A file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions, who will decide whether or not to proceed with other charges against the men.
