Apology and Correction, Jerry Flannery and Felix Jones

On Saturday, October 16th we published an article by Matt Williams entitled ‘Van Graan’s tough loving is bearing sweet fruit for Munster’. The article incorrectly indicated that Jerry Flannery and Felix Jones were not offered new coaching contracts by Johann Van Graan and Munster Rugby.

As previously reported by The Irish Times, Mr Flannery and Mr Jones left their roles after they turned down new contract offers. Munster Rugby and Johann Van Graan stated at the time that they did all they could to retain them both.

We accept that the article was inaccurate in that regard and has caused Mr Flannery and Mr Jones embarrassment. We wish to correct the record and apologise to them.
