Though I would hardly qualify as one of the season's great revellers, my experience of last Monday was somewhat unusual. As it happened, I had lunch with former Daily Mail colleagues in Manchester and dinner with IT colleagues in Dublin. Which amounted to two Christmas parties in different countries on the same day. Ah, the pressure of it all.
