Colleges All-Ireland football semi-final previews

Masita GAA All-Ireland Post Primary Schools
Hogan Cup (SF) semi-finals

St Patrick's College Maghera (Derry) v Coláiste Eoin (Dublin), Páirc Esler, Newry, 2.0
The All-Ireland champions from Derry overcame a rocky start in their provincial final against Omagh CBS but came through strongly in the second half. Great things are forecast for centrefielder Conor Glass but St Patrick's, although favourites this afternoon will have a contest on their hands.

Their Stillorgan opponents also had to dig out their provincial win, against Marist Athlone and Conn Ó Ceallacháin has been running up big totals. Close but the champions can make another final.

Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne (Kerry) v St Gerald's College Castlebar (Mayo), Nenagh, 3.15
Both colleges retained their provincial titles and coincidentally each had a player who scored a hat-trick in the Munster and Connacht finals, Cathal Ó Bambair and Austin Reddy respectively. Gerald's have shown themselves to be fairly resilient and recovered well to win the provincial final but the swathe of Kerry minors on the Corca Duibhne team, managed by Kerry boss Eammon Fitzmaurice, gives them an advantage.
