SWEDEN'S Thomas Enqvist joined the parade of seeds marching out of the $1 million European Community Championship when he suffered a surprise 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 defeat at the hands of Spaniard Erancisco Clavet yesterday.

The 22-year-old Enqvist, eighth on the ATP Tour list, is now on the sidelines along with injury victims Boris Becker, top seed Goran Ivanisevic and holder Michael Stich at an event which is fast losing its lustre.
