The price of fuel

Sir, – I cannot understand the escalation of retail oil prices being attributed to the impact of sanctions being taken as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The oil being sold to the public has been in storage in this country for months and was imported at much lower prices than current prices. The oil companies stand to make a huge profit from the current prices they are charging. – Yours, etc,
