RTÉ – those old familiar voices

Sir, – I note that former RTÉ broadcaster Sean O'Rourke "wants to broadcast on RTÉ again" (News, February 4th).

I often wonder why some high-profile RTÉ retirees have an expectation and seeming entitlement that they should be rehired on some lucrative contract. Is it any wonder that new blood and talent are scarce commodities in that organisation! – Yours, etc,
