Sir, – I would nominate St Paul. He wrote many epistles to the Romans, Galatians, Ephesians, Corinthians, and others. They were surely longer than most of today’s emails, and I suspect that some were regarded as spam, depending on the mood of the recipients. – Yours, etc,
