Sir, – In "From the Archives" (May 2nd), "John Brennan" is described as Thomas MacDonagh's brother-in-law in the introduction. In fact, "John Brennan" was the pen name of Sydney Gifford Czira, the sister of Grace and Muriel Gifford – and therefore MacDonagh's sister-in-law. She wrote a memoir later in life, published by the short-lived Gifford & Craven in 1974, entitled The Years Flew By. – Yours, etc,
