Sir, – The letter from Patrick Judge of Dún Laoghaire (February 26th) resonated with me somewhat. Having the medical once-over recently, I also discovered I’d shrunk by a couple of inches. Alarmingly, at the same time, my feet are getting larger. I was a size 10 for most of my adult life, but discovered, at the age of about 40, that I needed a size 11, and now they’re pinching a little.
