Sir, – To those humans who find the tethered caps on single-use plastic products inconvenient, a few tips to make their lives a little easier: using a scissors or knife, they should detach the cap from the bottle.
They should then swallow the cap, washing it down with the liquid in the bottle.
If that feels uncomfortable, they’ll know how things are for animals who know no better than to swallow untethered caps.
Alternatively, the humans could just get over their discomfiture and unscrew the still-tethered cap and push it back until it clicks into position, out of harm’s way. – Yours, etc,
