Sir, – According to Mary Lou McDonald, too many of their usual voters didn’t realise that Sinn Féin are not in government. Eoin Ó Broin tells us that their supporters’ anger at the Government induced such apathy among them that they didn’t have the energy to get to the polling station. Burdened with such deplorables, Sinn Féin should be congratulated for doing as well as they did. – Yours, etc,
