Sir, – The mention Jennifer O’Connell (“Jailed teacher Enoch Burke might have done us all a favour”, Opinion & Analysis, September 10th) gave to Women’s Space Ireland is very welcome as the website was set up to give a voice to women concerned about the risks of gender identity ideology to our sex and to children in this country.
Jennifer O’Connell describes Women’s Space Ireland as being a “supporter” of Mr Burke. That does seem a bit of a stretch for having tweeted newspaper reports with quotes from them.
Mr Burke, though, has certainly done us all a favour by helping to illuminate what activist groups have been promoting to schools and the Department of Education and Skills which parents may not be aware of.
Perhaps Ms O’Connell might have made the effort to make contact beforehand? – Yours, etc,
