Two men have rescued from a small boat which went aground in Casla Bay in Connemara this afternoon.
The men were rescued by the local coast guard rescue boat before their boat broke up.
In a separate incident, a sailing boat with two people has issued a distress call off Achill Island, Co Mayo.
The Shannon-based rescue coast guard helicopter was on its way to the scene.
