Gardaí in Cork are continuing to question two men in connection with the fatal shooting in the city earlier in the month.

Gardaí in Cork are continuing to question two men in connection with the fatal shooting in the city earlier in the month.

Mr John Butler (20), a father of one, of Knocknaheeny Avenue, Cork, was shot dead by a lone gunman in Gurranabraher on the north side of Cork city on October 7th.

The two men, both in their thirties, are among seven people detained over the weekend in connection with the shooting. The other five have been released without charge.
