Two men arrested over dissident republican activity

Gardai arrested two men in Dublin today as part of an on-going investigation into dissident republican activity in the city.

Gardai arrested two men in Dublin today as part of an on-going investigation into dissident republican activity in the city.

The arrests were made at 1.30pm in Newport Street. A firearm was recovered during the arrests.

The two men, one in his 30s and the other in his 50s, are being detained at Donnybrook Garda Station under Section 30 Offences against the State Act.
