Shelbourne win on Tolka return

Shelbourne 2 Derry 0

Shelbourne 2 Derry 0

Shelbourne enjoyed their first victory at Tolka Park tonight since their ground was deemed unplayable for a month following recent flooding in the area.

Mark Roberts opened the scoring for Shels' after 40 minutes before Stuart Taylor added a second on the stroke of half-time to make manager Pat Fenlon's team talk at the interval all the more easy.

The visitors had no reply in the second-half and eventually frustrations led to Derry's Roy Coyle being brandished a red card towards the end of the game.

The game was delayed by 25 minutes due to floodlight failure.
