Moscow - Five more bodies were recovered from the debris of a Moscow apartment block destroyed by a gas explosion shortly after midnight, bringing the toll to seven dead. The explosion destroyed four storeys of the block.
the death toll was expected to rise as some 300 are believed buried in the rubble. Between 72 and 108 apartments were destroyed in the blast in Petchatniki in south-east Moscow.
