Low-cost Irish airline Ryanair today reported passenger numbers for May were up 44 per cent at 1.19 million from 827,783 in May 2001.

The load factor was up at 83 per cent compared with 71 per cent in the year earlier period and internet sales were at 91 per cent in May this year, up from 75 per cent last year.

For the twelve months ending May 31st, passenger numbers were at 11.75 million, the load factor was at 82 per cent and Internet sales were at 86 per cent.
