Police in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim, are investigating a petrol bomb attack on a house in the town in the early hours of this morning.

The house, in the Cloughfern area off the Doagh Road, was attacked with a petrol bomb and two paint bombs between at about 3.00 a.m.

No-one was injured in the attack, in which minor scorch damage was caused to an outside wall.

Police are continuing their inquiry, and have appealed for witnesses.
