London - The controversial Royal Academy portrait of the Moors murderer, Myra Hindley, could take up to a week to restore after being attacked twice last night, the academy said. Two men have been arrested after two separate attacks on the work, called Myra, which was created using hundreds of tiny imprints of a child's hand.
In the first a man smuggled two cartridges full of red and blue ink into the Piccadilly venue and threw them at the 11ft by 9ft painting. In the second a man hurled four eggs at it before being arrested. Both men are being questioned by Bow Street police in London.
