The fate of two contentious parades in the North this Saturday is expected to be known today.

The Parades Commission is to announce the results of reviews into the feeder parades - one in north Belfast, the other in Lurgan, Co Armagh - for Derry's annual Apprentice Boys' parade.

Nationalist concerns prompted the review of the Lurgan parade. Sinn Fein MLA Ms Dara O'Hagan has called on the commission to ban the march.

In Belfast, loyalists have requested that a decision banning a parade passing the nationalist Ardoyne district be overturned.
