A 30-year-old man has been remanded in custody with consent to bail after he was charged today in connection with a €500,000 cannabis seizure by gardai in north Cork on Wednesday night.

Aidan Crowne of Norwood Court, Rochestown, Cork was charged with a total of seven offences including

possessing cannabis for sale or supply following the seizure of 63 kilos of cannabis at Kilquane, Castletownroche on November 19th.

Mr Crowne was brought before Mitchelstown District Court today, where Judge Michael Pattwell remanded him in custody with consent to bail on his own bond of €100 and an independent cash lodgement surety of €40,000 to appear at Fermoy District Court on November 28th.
