A man was being held for questioning last night in connection with the death of a baby boy from a stab wound to the neck

A man was being held for questioning last night in connection with the death of a baby boy from a stab wound to the neck. The boy's body was found at a house in Tallaght, Dublin, yesterday.

The 30-year-old man is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The body of the 18-month-old infant was discovered by his mother at about 9.20 a.m. yesterday at Kiltalawn Road, Jobstown.

State pathologist Dr John Harbison carried out the post-mortem.
