A Dublin man has been found guilty by a jury of having £3.4 million worth of cannabis for sale or supply in 1997

A Dublin man has been found guilty by a jury of having £3.4 million worth of cannabis for sale or supply in 1997. Eugene Kelly (24) of Sheridan Court, Dorset St. was convicted at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court following almost 4-1/2 hours deliberation.

The jury has still to reach a verdict in the case of his co-accused, Mr. Patrick Ralph (36), a courier, of Castle Village Court, Co. Kildare and has been sent to a hotel overnight. Both men had pleaded not guilty to unlawful possession of the cannabis resin and having it for sale or supply on November 13th, 1997. Lord Justice Campbell adjourned the application until June 22nd.
