A 45-year-old American citizen, Mr Thomas O'Shaughnessy, suspected of involvement in child pornography, has been remanded in custody until April 6th. Mr O'Shaughnessy, from Arizona, had been living in a hostel in Dublin city centre for the past month.
He was arrested in Mulhuddart, Dublin, on Friday and appeared in court on Saturday morning, where he was charged with possession of child pornographic images.
