Fire at sub-station left homes in Stillorgan, Blackrock, Mount Merrion out of power

The ESB have restored power to almost 25,000 homes in the south Dublin area this morning after a fire broke out at an ESB sub-station.

The fire at a substation on Brewery Road in Stillorgan switched off two other sub-stations at Mount Merrion and Belfield at around 6am this morning.
