Man (60s) dies following single car collision in Co Wexford

Forensic collision investigators are currently examining the scene at Curracloe

A man in his 60s has died following a single vehicle crash in Co Wexford on Monday morning.

Gardaí are currently at the scene of the fatal incident, which occurred at about 10.35am at Curracloe, Co Wexford.

The only occupant of the car involved in the collision, a man in his 60s, was taken to Wexford General Hospital where he later died. A postmortem will be conducted at a later date.

Forensic collision investigators are currently examining the scene. As a result, the road through Curracloe village is closed and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the Curracloe village area between 10.15am and 10.35am are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
