A 60-year-old man has died after the car he was driving struck a wall at the Liosban industrial estate in Galway.
The incident happened at 10pm on Tuesday night and there were no other vehicles involved.
The man was treated at the scene and taken to University College Hospital Galway where he was later pronounced dead.
The road is closed for technical examination and diversions are in place, a post-mortem will be carried out on Wednesday.
