A man who bit a garda twice while being arrested for breaking into a car was ordered to pay the officer £1,000 compensation yesterday. The solicitor acting for Mr Jude O'Shea (29), of Sarsfield Gardens, Moyross, Limerick, said his client had been drinking after a long spell of sobriety and had broken into the car to sleep in it.
