A 16-year-old youth was electrocuted when copper piping he was handling struck a broken switch, Dublin City Coroner's Court heard yesterday.

Mr James Ryan of Sheepmore Crescent, Blakestown, Clonsilla, was with a central heating firm on the refurbishment of Pearse House, a Dublin flats complex, when the accident happened on January 12th last.

The jury returned a verdict of accidental death.
