A man in his mid-seventies is being treated in hospital this Monday evening having sustained stab wounds to the abdomen.
The incident occurred at Monksfield Downs, Clondalkin at about 5.30pm this evening.
A woman in her early seventies was arrested and brought to Ballyfermot Garda station where she is being detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The man is being treated in Tallaght Hospital tonight.
