A man has been arrested after gardaí seized a quantity of drugs during an operation in Santry this afternoon.
The operation was carried out by gardaí from the drugs unit attached to Ballymun Garda Station.
The drugs were seized during a search at a house in Oldtown Avenue.
Gardaí said, that subject to analysis, the drugs have an estimated street value of €500,000.
A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and is being questioned at Ballymun Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
He can be detained for up to seven days.
