Man (30s) dies in single-vehicle collision in Co Limerick

Gardaí appealing for witnesses on Caherconlish and Herbertstown road

A man in his 30s has died following a single vehicle road incident at Coolshine in Co Limerick.

The man was discovered by a passing motorist at about 5.30am on Friday on the Caherconlish and Herbertstown road. The motorist notified the emergency services and the man’s body was removed to the morgue at University Hospital Limerick.

The road was closed on Friday morning to facilitate a forensic collision examination but has since re-opened.

Gardaí at Roxboro road are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on the stretch of road between 6.30pm on Thursday, March 10 and 5.30am on Friday, March 11 to contact them on 061 214340 or on the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111.
