Four people were arrested on Tuesday morning in connection with the water charges protest in Jobstown last November. All four were released without charge. Files are being prepared for the DPP.
Two men and a woman aged in their 20s and 30s as well as a teenage boy were arrested in the Tallaght area. They were released without charge. Files are being prepared for the DPP.
The incident in question happened in November when Tánaiste Joan Burton was trapped in her car for several hours by protestors who threw a water balloon at her head.
The arrests come after Socialist Party TD Paul Murphy was arrested on Monday in relation to the same incident.
Mr Murphy claimed the arrest was designed to “damage” the anti-water charges movement.
