US President George W. Bush said today he did not know whether a federal investigation would find the source of a news leak identifying a CIA operative whose husband had criticized administration policy on Iraq.
"I have no idea whether we'll find out who the leaker is," Mr Bush told reporters after met with his Cabinet. "I'd like to. I want to know the truth."
Mr Bush spoke ahead of a 5 p.m. (9 p.m. Irish time) deadline today for officials to turn over information in a Justice Department probe of the leak.
