A key suspect in the Bali bomb attacks told an Indonesian court today he was just a "tiny terrorist" and that the world should worry more about President Bush and Washington's allies.
"I'm only a tiny terrorist, while there are still many big fish out there, like Ariel Sharon, Tony Blair and George Bush," said Mukhlas, a 43-year-old radical preacher, referring to the Israeli and British prime ministers.
"If these terrorists are allowed to continue having their way, they will drop their nuclear bombs in the coming war, in the near future."
Mukhlas, also called Ali Gufron, is accused of having overall responsibility for last year's Bali nightclub bombings on the holiday island that killed 202 people, mostly young Western holidaymakers.
Prosecutors have demanded he be sentenced to death, carried out by firing squad in Indonesia. The court is expected to make its decision in the coming weeks.
Prosecutors have urged a court to pass a lesser 20-year jail sentence on Mukhlas' youngest brother, Ali Imron, after he expressed sorrow over his actions.
Another brother, Amrozi, was sentenced to death last month. He admitted his involvement and said he was proud the attacks had killed white people.
Indonesia has arrested more than 30 militants over the Bali blasts. It has blamed the bombings on Jemaah Islamiah (JI), a Southeast Asian Muslim network linked to al-Qaeda Jakarta accuses Mukhlas of being one of JI's top leaders.
