Hong Kong - A 10-hour riot by about 400 inmates at a Hong Kong drug prison left 33 people injured, including a Vietnamese inmate who was seriously burned when trapped in a blazing cell, officials said yesterday.

Police said officers fired tear-gas and tear grenades to gain control of the area on Hei Ling Chau island. and rescue the inmates. Thirteen wardens and police officers were injured while trying to stop the rioting which broke out at a drug treatment centre.
