The plot thickens on Shrewsbury Road where there are plans to replace four semi-detached houses with a block of no less than 30 luxury apartments. The scheme apparently is being masterminded by Yeoman multi-millionaire Paul Coulson, one of the relative newcomers to the street, who lives in a fine detached house opposite the proposed site. He would like to capitalise on the phenomenal value of land on the road but to succeed he needs, naturally enough, the co-operation of his four neighbours who live in the aforementioned semis. It is believed that they have been offered £3 million each and a penthouse if they move out and let the JCBs move in. There are reports that three of the residents may opt for the deal but that a fourth is still having second thoughts.
