Ingredients
- 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- Bunch of baby bok choy, washed and dried (about 20 in total)
- 1/4 cup of chicken stock
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp cornflour
Baby bok choy in oyster sauce is a simple yet delicious dish made with small, tender bok choy that is stir-fried with oyster sauce. The bok choy is cooked until it is tender and the oyster sauce adds a savoury flavour to the dish.
1. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over high heat. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
2. Add the baby bok choy to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the vegetable is crisp-tender.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the chicken stock, oyster sauce, and cornflour. Pour the mixture into the wok and stir-fry for an additional minute, or until the sauce thickens and coats the bok choy.
4. Serve the bok choy hot, with the stalks all facing the same way all around the platter or plate, garnished with additional oyster sauce.
