Two wines on promotion this month and next

O’Briens has a wide range of wines on promotion this month and next. As well as the wines below, the three Wildflower wines from Romania – a sauvignon, pinot noir and merlot all offer pretty good value at €9.49. One classic French white is the floral, crisp, dry Sancerre Henri Bourgeois (was €32.99, now €28.99). Another classic worth buying is the steely vibrant Chablis Jean-Marc Brocard (was €30.99, now €22.99).

From the red wines, the Château Léotins is a well-priced Bordeaux (€11.99 down from €15.99) but it is worth paying a few euros more for the Château Saint Bonnet (well-priced at €17.99 down from €25.99) a cru Bourgeois from the Médoc in Bordeaux. Lovers of New World wines should try out the rich fruit-filled spicy Norton Lujan de Cuyo Malbec, well-priced at €14.99 (was €18.95). Lastly, I enjoyed the delightful delicately fruity Santenay Temps de Cerises (€34.99 down from €40.00) from Domaine Olivier.
