Jean-Claude Mas is one of the success stories of French winemaking. Starting in the late 1990s, he made a name for producing a series of very well made, keenly priced wines. In a short period, he created Domaines Paul Mas, 15 estates comprising 600 hectares of vines spread out across the Languedoc Roussillon region of France. Both of today’s wines are from Château Paul Mas, one of his estates in the Languedoc. While not cheap, they offer great value for money.
