Our weekend wines are a little bit more expensive on this occasion, but they are certainly worth a few euros more. Albert Glas is a go-ahead winemaker based in the Pfalz in Germany. He produces a range of very good varietal wines at two price levels. Supervalu has been importing them directly for a few years now. The brown label wines, which sell for €15 are good, but the two black label wines below are the ones to go for when on promotion.

Just a little off-dry with peaches, pears and a refreshing tingling crisp acidity. Great with all kinds of seafood, salmon (raw or smoked), sushi or pork.
