TSB Bank has become the latest financial institution to offer online banking. The new service, www.tsbonline24.ie, is based on the bank's real-time computer system and will allow customers to conduct banking transactions in their own time. The bank estimates that 20,000 customers will use this new service as their principal method of banking within 12 months. In the next phase of development, customers will be able to apply for current accounts, mortgages and loans online. The new Internet service from TSB Bank will allow customers to make balance enquiries, transfer funds, pay bills and carry out cheque searches.
