Dublin-based mobile top-up company Ding has partnered with global payments platform Adyen to help drive its international growth.
The partnership has helped Ding to optimise its payments systems, offering customers new ways to pay such as mobile wallets.
It has also helped it to deal with the complex factors in its business. Ding’s platform deals with more than 5 million mobile phone top-ups in more than 150 countries every month, with the different currencies, languages, and acquiring entities proving a complicating factor. Using Adyen’s services has helped it to reduce the complexity of accepting payments across these regions,

Global network
Ding uses Adyen’s global acquiring network to process payments locally, reducing transaction costs, streamlining operations and ultimately resulting in higher transaction authorisation rates.
“When going live in the UAE, this meant we didn’t have to build out further connections to benefit from an uplift in authorisations. We’ve seen a 4 per cent approval rate uplift for transactions since working with Adyen, contributing to our highly successful growth into the region,” Mr Egan said.
Ding has also linked up with Adyen to launch a new subscription service.
