Oracle executive leaving

The general manager of Oracle Ireland, Mr Kevin Jones, is leaving the company after ten years to pursue other interests.

The general manager of Oracle Ireland, Mr Kevin Jones, is leaving the company after ten years to pursue other interests.

He is being replaced by Mr John Appleby, the manager of Sun Microsystems in Ireland. Mr Jones's departure is described as "amicable" and he will continue to work on a consultancy basis for Oracle. Oracle employs 400 people in the Republic and its parent company, Oracle Corporation, is the second largest software company in the world with annual revenues of $6 billion (£4.34 billion).
