Homestore+More opens second Cork city store

Firm signs 20-year contract at rent of €166 per sq m for Kinsale Road Retail Park store

Homestore+More has just opened its second Cork city store at Kinsale Road Retail Park. The other outlet is at Mahon.

The company has leased a new building extending to 2,156sq m (23,200sq ft) on a 20-year contract at a rent of €166 per sq m (€15.50 per sq ft).

Letting agent Nicholas Corson of Dublin agents Finnegan Menton has also announced a preletting of another store of 929sq m (10,000sq ft) to DID Electric at a rent of €172 per sq m (€16 per sq ft).

DID also has a store in Bandon and has 22 outlets countrywide. Florence Stanley of CBRE advised Homestore, which now has 20 stores.

The Kinsale Road park, developed by Motor Services Ltd, has completed the development of a 148sq m (1,600 sq ft) cafe beside Homestore.

Finnegan Menton is already in advanced negotiations to let the facility at a quoting rent of €322 per sq m (€30 per sq ft).

The same agents are to market a number of other planned building which will range in size from 650sq m to 1,858sq m (7,000sq ft to 20,000sq ft).
