Barry Foley (Limerick):
"It was definitely one of the better All-Ireland finals, a very good game and very exciting. Tipperary certainly deserved to win because they were so much more composed throughout the game.
"They were always able to score so much easier, but most of all I thought their defence was outstanding. Every one of their backs had an exceptional game, and that meant that Galway had to work so much harder to get their scores.
"It was a great team effort from Tipperary, but I felt Thomas Dunne was particularly good. He got some very important points but his distribution was also outstanding in setting up some of the key scores."
